Final.

Album front cover - notice the use of the Photographed Light Lines as in the previous post. This photo also shows the small white line between the front cover and the spine of the digipak, this is to create a border and to define each section.

This photo show the depth of the digipak as a whole it also shows how the digipak folds.

Above shows the Digipak standing up with the inside page on show. this had to make an impact as it is the first page the you will look at when you open it.

This photo shows the inside pages.

This shows the back of the digipak, it also shows how the lines continue throughout the whole design. this also has the bar code in place and the album listings.

This photo shows the connection of the front and the back of the Digipak via the spine of the piece,

This shows nearly all the inside pages (except the inside picture page) it shows how they continue from each other in some way.

This shows all the inside pages (except the picture page).

This is the "Love Will Tear Us Apart" page it is a very simple page that is only made up of small part but its impact within the piece is massive, it contains images from the Unknown pleasures album cover, just softly added to the edges, they are only softly in it because i wanted the piece to be a new progression from that album and not just a "Greatest Hits" Style compilation.

-Inside pages-

This is the "Love, Obsession, Desire, Dreams, Reflections and Memories page" this is the slip page for the poster, the main thing to note about this page is that the inside page of the slip also has the same image on it but it is on a black page instead of grey, this is to create contrast but also some continuity with in the piece.

This shows me pulling out the poster from its position within the Digipak.

This gives you a sense of how the poster is folded to fit with in the digipak.

The opening of the poster

This shows the poster. it is created using Photoshop and it is a selection of imagery from the bands past, it includes the older album covers and pitures of Ian Curtis and other members of Joy Division.

I wanted to make the back of the poster as nice to look at as the front of the poster, so i scanned in some brown paper and printed it on to the back of the poster, this gives the piece age but also give it some dimension as it makes it look folded.

Photography - Light Lines

Too little light.

- This photo was taken using all three lights on my torch on at the same time, the camera was set on the bulb setting, letting the shutter open for over a minute at a time, the combination didn't work because I had to much time to fill and i had to much light to work with, the combination left me with a blurry outcome that doesn't display what i want.

- This photo used less lighting but I left the camera set at Bulb, this left me to much time, in this time i altered the light too much which left me too many lines.

-  This photo had a shorter time scale and less light, the combination worked perfectly and i think this one on the photo below are the best.

- After getting the finish I wanted I decided to experiment with it and try and make something that would pull the focus back to joy division. The photo shows my attempt at the Unknown Pleasures album cover artwork style...

Typography Development.

Drawing the Letters out both lower case and upper case.  I then scanned them in and split them using photoshop to make individual files.
